
Heating the sugar made it less sticky and less effective, and therefore didn’t remove any of the hair on my legs. During my appointment, She complained about her bad back, and heated the sugar to hurry the job along, after what had already taken an hour. She went on to break every hair she removed, leaving me with painful ingrown hairs and stubble (armpits, bikini and legs). Being no stranger to waxing, I stress how particularly painful this visit was - I went in for sugaring, but she switched between the sugar and regular wax, as she was worried she didn’t «have enough of the sugar «to complete both myself and my friend, despite taking out reservation on the phone a day before. Not sure what was going on with the technician that day, but she gave me the most unnecessarily painful and time consuming waxing I’ve ever had.

My advice– DON’T DO IT! Save your time, money, and the hassle– go somewhere else! I also will be telling all of my friends about my experience with the ever sought after Joseph, and this bait and swich deal at the salon. I will not be returning to this place anytime soon. Overall I was not impressed with this salon, their services, or their additude. Needless to say i had the weekly deal refunded. Instead i got to deal with a cocky, unorginized hairdresser and lost over an hour of my life that i will never have returned. I was offered no sympathy for my time, no apology for totally screwing up my appointment, and no discount for my return. He also said that the weekly deal was to blame for not informing me of the up-charges due to the extra hair I have (Which is thin hair, that is about an inch longer than my shoulders).

Instead I was told by Joseph that he was just really behind and he wouldn’t be able to do all the services I had booked with him the week prior. Joseph was more than happy to oblige to a new appointment, but offered no apology about the upcharge or the fact i was not getting any services done on this day. I told Joseph to just reschedule because i needed the haircut, and didn’t want to leave the salon looking like cousin It. 00 that was paid for the blow out service, and it won’t be at this appointment that we cut my hair. 00, because of the hair cut and extra product, on top of the $ 79. I’m frustrated because we have had a conversation about what we were doing when i made the appointment and there was no disscusion of an upcharge due to the length in hair– now this appointment is going to be an additional $ 80. When it was my time to be seen– Joseph informed me we didn’t have enough time to cut my hair, and that he thought we were just doing a cut and color… i was also informed that my weekly deal would cost extra because my hair was too long and he would need extra product. (He more so than I, he was still finishing a client when i arrived.) Still excited i waited in anticipation, because i really need to do something with my hair. When i arrived on thursday, both Joseph and i were running late.

I was really looking forward to the appointment. We discussed how i had had a keritin treatment before, and talked about how this blowout service was different. I informed him i would be needing a haircut as well and we discussed how long my hair is. We scheduled an appointment for a thursday at 1 pm.

I spoke with him about my weekly plus deal, he informed me it was his day off and that he was cleaning his house, but he had his appointment book and could get me in. I had to leave a message and he contacted me back promptly. I had been gifterd a «Brazilian Blowout» for my birthday from my sister with Joseph Brekalo, I called him after hours on a friday.
